Welcome to the Kent Leaders in Leadership strategy and website.

Every child in a Kent school deserves a great education and we know that great leadership plays a vital role in creating the conditions for pupil learning.

The Kent Association of Headteachers, working closely with our strategic partners, has led the development of this strategy to support school leaders and those who aspire to leadership roles in Kent schools by providing access to a wealth of information about training, development, events and research that will support you in your work.

Our focus is not only on supporting existing leaders, but also on encouraging future leaders by creating opportunities for development that are widely and equitably accessible to all.

We recognise too that school leaders work increasingly beyond their own individual schools to influence improvement across the system in a range of ways. The KAH is here to encourage and support leaders as they take on roles in the wider system and also to build our collective capacity to influence and lead the development of the local school improvement system.

We are delighted that to support the work of the Leadership Strategy, each KAH Area Board has appointed a Leadership Advocate who will help to understand local needs, celebrate innovation and promote communication.
